A hybrid of garden origin, P. antioquiensis x P. mollissima.
Passiflora x exoniensis is an evergreen Climber growing to 5 m (16ft) by 5 m (16ft) at a fast rate.It is hardy to zone (UK) 10 and is frost tender to 1C. It is in leaf all year, in flower from June to September, and the seeds ripen from September to November. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Bees. The plant is self-fertile. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers moist soil.
