Toby Buckland's garden Festival at Powderham

Toby Buckland's Garden Festival Powderham Devon

Returning for a fifth year, the two-day gardening fiesta will be on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th April 2018. Held in the stunning location of Powderham Castle, near Exeter in Devon, the festival promises a bounty of blooms, guaranteed to get your garden off to flower-filled start.

Parking is free and we have our tractor-trailer on hand to ferry you and your plant purchases to and from the Castle grounds.

Broadcaster Toby, who presents BBC TV coverage from Chelsea Flower Show and anchors the gardening slot on Radio Devon’s Sunday morning show said, "The Festival has gone from strength to strength since it began in 2014. To date, we’ve been joined by the UK’s top gardening talent along with a wealth of flowers, food and craft and welcomed more than 30,000 visitors

John Challis, the actor and author best known for playing Boycie in the BBC’s most successful ever sitcom Only Fools and Horses is to speak at Toby’s Garden Festival in April 2018. Keen gardener John will be at the two-day garden fiesta on 27th and 28th April signing copies of his book, Wigmore Abbey: The Treasure of Mortimer, an autobiographical account of creating his house and garden in Herefordshire with wife Carol.

Other speakers at the festival, now in its fifth year, include BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Rachel de Thame, and BBC Radio Two’s allotment doctor, Terry Walton, from The Jeremy Vine Show.  Highlights include more than 180 exhibitors, including Chelsea flowershow-favourite nurseries, artisan craft, food and drink from the West Country, live music and family entertainment.

Online tickets are on sale now from £10 at www.tobygardenfest.co.uk

If all go to plan for us this year, Exotic Earth Plants are looking to exhibit here next year in 2019, fingers crossed!
