Brugmansia sanguinea lutea bears striking vibrant, trumpet-shaped flowers that dangle gracefully, adding a touch of the exotic to your subtropical oasis. The yellow flowers are remarkably beautiful about 20 cm long and shaped like funnelled trumpets. The corolla has five points that are slightly recurved. This particular plant has a 150 year provenance dating back to the fàmous Fox family of Falmouth who bred Brugmansia to create a hardier cultivar. This cultivar has a provenance from Rose Hill gardens a former garden owned by the Fox family.

Growing conditions: This plant comes from higher elevations than typical Brugmansias, so it used to mild daytime temperatures, and nights that are cool. Temperatures above the 23°C can inhibit flowering, and the plant might decline if temperatures are consistently above 30°C, especially if nights are warm. In frost free coastal areas of the UK this can be planted in the ground when mature.
