Montanoa hibiscifolia, commonly known as the tree daisy or Anzac-flower, is a large, fast-growing perennial shrub or small tree native to Central America. It typically grows 2 to 6 metres tall and is member of the daisy family (Asteraceae).
The plant is highly distinct for its large, deeply lobed leaves that resemble hibiscus foliage, and its massive clusters of daisy-like flowers featuring bright white petals surrounding a vivid yellow center. While popular in tropical gardens for its dramatic winter blooms, it is a highly invasive weed in parts of Australia, South Africa, and Hawaii, where it quickly takes over forest margins and riverbanks.
