Gloxinia nematanthodes ‘Evita’ is a beautiful spreading plant from the mountains of Argentina with striking red, tubular, bell-like flowers with a yellow inner section with red spots on short burgundy red stems. This is a small but super effective ground floor spreading addition to a subtropical theme garden. The flowers, sought after by hummingbirds in Argentina. Dies back in winter. Lift some as backup, but mulch well should reappear in mild Gardens in spring.
